Tear Drop Table

Introducing the ultimate conversation starter for your dining or work space - a unique three-meter long table with an incredible history to tell! This table features a stunning pair of matching teardrop A-frame legs that were originally part of a machinists ‘marking out’ table and were cast around 80 years ago.
 
But that's not all, these legs have been lovingly restored by hand to give them a new lease on life. Shot blasted back to their original raw metal, they've been burnished, polished, and highlighted to really make their edges and corners pop. The circular steel beam that joins the legs together using large nuts and washers also adds a modern industrial touch to this vintage piece.
 
To protect and preserve the original cast, all the metal has been treated and sealed with a special conditioning hardening oil. And the table top? It's made from original oak beams that were once part of Liverpool docks warehouses, and have been stored in a barn in Tewksbury since the 80s. Recently sawn into 2” thick planks, these beams were joined together, planed, sanded and treated with Food safe OSMO oil.
